Residents of Manchester, New Hampshire, have a new date to mark for their calendars if they plan to watch the biggest sporting event of the year. Jay-Z will perform the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show live from Los Angeles.
The NFL, Apple Music, and the rapper confirmed the announcement on Monday. The performance is scheduled for February 14, 2027. The game will take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Jay-Z’s management company, Roc Nation, has produced the halftime show since 2019. The firm recently signed a five-year extension to continue in that role through 2029. Since taking over production, the shows have featured more hip-hop and rap artists.
Last year’s show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, featured Bad Bunny with guest appearances by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin. The last Super Bowl Halftime Show held in Los Angeles took place in 2022. That performance included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. Cameos appeared from 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak.
Recent performers include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023. Jay-Z has never played at the Super Bowl despite his connection to the league and many past performers. The 25-time Grammy winner is currently touring to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint.
The Jay-Z 30 Tour began with three nights at Yankee Stadium in July. September shows included two dates in London and one in Paris. His final scheduled shows occurred on October 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. That venue will now serve as a warm-up for his upcoming Super Bowl performance.
